Hello! I’m Joanna and thanks for visiting! I’ve been making for most of my life. The women in my mother’s family have always sewn, knit and crocheted—my great-grandmother was an amazing seamstress and dressmaker and many (although sadly, not all) of these skills were passed down through my mother to me. When I was young, my grandmother taught me how to knit and I discovered fine fibers when I picked up knitting again before my two boys were born. I was drawn to the colors and textures of the yarns of indie dyers as well as the textures of Merino, Alpaca, Silk, Bluefaced Leicester and Bamboo. I was knitting more and loved searching for the perfect colorways for whatever project I was working on…and then one day in 2018 I started playing with dyes and fell in love with creating my own colorways. Every product that you find here is handmade or handdyed by me in my home studio in South Windsor, Connecticut.
